1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AppleBoxe ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AppleBoxe provides a cloud-based platform for film pre-production management, including script analysis, call sheet generation, budgeting, crew management, and production scheduling tools.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the scripts and production content you upload. By using the Service, you grant AppleBoxe a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your creative work.

Initial launch material scope

Initial launch supports your own material or material you are explicitly authorized to use. Confidential client/studio or contract-restricted material is unavailable until permission and provider requirements are cleared. Permission to use material alone does not clear confidential client/studio or contract restrictions. Declare each project's scope and acknowledge the current notice before adding or processing content. Each collaborator must acknowledge the notice. Existing content remains available for authorized retrieval, export and deletion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's AI features
Resell access or create competing products using our proprietary workflows
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same term (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date. At the start of each billing period, we charge your saved payment method the then-current price for your plan. You can see your next renewal date and cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; canceling stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are issued at our discretion within 7 days of purchase for annual plans. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable.

Production size. Paid workspace plans are for productions with a total budget under US$2 million, and one Studio workspace per company. A production budgeted at or above that, or a company running several productions beyond one Studio workspace, needs a yearly agreement with AppleBoxe. Writer and Pro are personal plans and may be used by one person on any production. If we find a workspace outside these limits, we will contact you before taking any action.

7. AI-Generated Content

The AI-powered features in AppleBoxe (script analysis, prop extraction, production plan generation) are provided as tools to assist your workflow. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated outputs before using them in professional contexts. AppleBoxe does not guarantee the accuracy of AI analysis.

8. Limitation of Liability

AppleBoxe is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. To the extent direct damages are not excluded by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AppleBoxe, Basemapped LLC, and their officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, liability, damage, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service, content you upload, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by choosing Delete Account in account settings. Confirming that user-initiated action is a request for immediate deletion: your account and personal workspace data are permanently deleted, while a shared team workspace transfers to another member when possible and is deleted if no member remains. Deletion requests that require manual support processing will be completed within 30 days.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact legal@appleboxe.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. General Provisions

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or an in-product notice before they take effect; continued use of the Service afterward means you accept the changes.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and AppleBoxe regarding the Service.

Force Majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of the infrastructure providers we depend on.
